Using the AI chat panel
The AI chat panel is your main interface for refining a presentation after it's been generated. It lives in the right sidebar and is always available while you're in the editor.
What you can do in the chat panel
- Edit the content of the currently selected slide
- Ask the AI to add a new slide in a specific position
- Change the overall tone or style of the whole deck
- Ask questions about the presentation ("What's the main message of slide 5?")
- Request a summary of the deck
- Add speaker notes to any slide
How context works
The AI always has access to the full content of your presentation. When you select a specific slide, it is highlighted in the AI's context so it knows which slide you're talking about. You can also reference slides by number: "Rewrite slide 3 to be more concise."
Conversation history
The AI remembers your conversation within a session. This means you can chain instructions: first ask it to make a slide more concise, then say "also change the tone to be more formal" and it will apply both edits together.
Tip
If the AI seems confused by a follow-up message, try being more explicit and restating the context rather than relying on pronouns like "it" or "that slide."
Accepting and rejecting changes
After the AI responds with changes, a diff view appears showing what was added or removed. Click Accept to apply the changes or Discard to ignore them. You can always undo accepted changes with Cmd/Ctrl + Z.
