Uploading a PDF or document as context
Context files let the AI build slides from your actual documents rather than generating generic content. This is especially useful for reports, product briefs, research papers, or any source material you want reflected in the deck.
Supported file types
- PDF (.pdf) — up to 20 MB
- Word documents (.docx) — up to 10 MB
- Plain text (.txt) — up to 5 MB
How to attach a file
- Open the generation dialog from the home screen.
- Click the paperclip icon below the prompt text area.
- Select your file from the file picker.
- The filename appears as a chip below the prompt confirming the upload.
- Write your prompt as normal, then click Generate.
Tip
You can attach a file and then reference it in your prompt: "Using the attached Q3 earnings report, create a 10-slide investor update." This makes the AI's task explicit.
What the AI does with your file
The file is converted to text and included in the AI's context window alongside your prompt. The AI reads through it and uses relevant passages, data, and language to populate your slides. It will not blindly copy the document — it intelligently selects and condenses.
Privacy
Uploaded files are stored temporarily for the duration of the generation request and then deleted. They are never used to train AI models and are not accessible to other users.
Note
Very long documents (100+ pages) may be truncated to fit within the model's context limit. For large documents, consider uploading a condensed summary or the most relevant sections.
